Device stuck in ‘Pending’ state

Sometimes your devices need to be ‘Registered’ within Azure if you want to use features such as OneDrive Single Sign on and others.

Is your Hybrid-Joined Active Directory device stuck in a ‘Pending’ state within your Azure Portal?

Try the below walkthrough to register the device:

  1. Run the below command on the device:
dsregcmd /debug /leave

2. Confirm within Azure AD that device object no longer exists.
3. Reboot device.
4. Re-join device by running ‘dsregcmd /join /debug’.
5. Your device should now be registered in Azure Active Directory under Devices.
